 Fractured Whole Cloth #1
Rings Around the Wreath

This class is open to all machines quilters who are comfortable using templates, or would like to learn how to use templates, on their longarm or midarm quilting machines. You will need a workspace of at least 13 inches to use the templates and stitch the designs.

This class is now OPEN to ALL quilters and you can view the class instructions at any time of the night or day!

My original idea was to have this class as an "Almost Mystery" quilt. An almost mystery quilt is a quilt that you know the title and what tools are needed to create the designs on the class project. But, you don't know EXACTLY what you will be quilting to complete the quilt! BUT....., I had many people contact me wanting to know what was going to be quilted, that I am showing you what the finished quilt is going to look like!

The quilt below was quilted using hand painted fabric which I created. To view a free video lesson on how to paint fabric Click Here The main feathers were quilted using contrasting thread using the 12 inch and 8 inch Longarm University Feather Guides. The "fill in" feathered wreaths were quilted with a matching thread and were made using the 6 inch Feather Guide.

This quilt is just as  stunning with "regular" quilt fabric in a solid color or a mottled or marbled pattern. (I am working on a sample with a marbled fabric. As soon as it is finished I'll post photos.)

After you register for this class you will receive the piecing instructions to construct the Fractured Whole Cloth quilt top, which is approximately 50 x 50 inches square. (This is super simple piecing!) The photo at the right shows the Basic Fractured Whole Cloth Quilt.

On the day of the class, have your class project on your quilting machine ready for quilting! At 8 am Pacific Time, the class will begin when the Part 1 is activated. During the rest of the day, about every two hours, another Part of the class will be activated. You will be notified by email when a class Part is activated. At the end of the day, all the Parts of the class will be revealed and you will see the completed project. If you have been quilting along with me, then your quilting will also be completed and all you need to do is bind and wash your class project.

This is a fun way to learn new techniques and complete a project in a day.
